My wife is too shyMultiple system atrophy to ask so I was wondering if her cervix is really high up and open, cervical fluid is cloudy/white,creamy,thin,slipperySlippery elm and there is like alot of it, does that mean she already ovulated or Is going to ovulate soon?Does it sound like she may be fertile? WE are just learning to chart fertility and we need help with this very soon. Thanks to everyone who answers!
There really is no way of knowing if her cervix is too high unless a Dr. checks it. Has her GYN ever said anything to her about that?
And the slipperySlippery elm mucus sounds like the fertil mucus to me. When was her last period? A womanWomen's way usually ovulates about 14 days after her period. but not every womanWomen's way is text book. Some may ovulate earlier or later than that. Is she watching her temps? When you ovulate it's usually a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys higher. (not a fever though). And there are tests you can take to tell when you ovulate and when you are the most fertil. They are similar to a pregnancy test.
And since she has not conceived yet, make sure she is taking prenatal vitamins now to help prevent nural tube defects. It's really important before she gets pregnant.
Also, tell her not to be embarrased, these kinds of questions are asked ALL the time....everyday really. Getting on the maternal/child forum is a really good forum also. There are a lot of women trying to conceive and who are pregnant. It's a wonderful place for support and to get answers answered.
Good luck and I hope you both get a positive test very soon!!
if her cervix is high up and open then yes she is fertile. She can actually tell if it is high by checking it daily just to feel the changes it goes through. I know when I am ovualting I can't hardly even reach mine. Make sure she washes her hands so not to spread any germs up there. Cervical fluid shoudl be clear and be able to stretch between your fingertips. If it is white and cloudy she may be about to or just past ovualtion. A good book to use is "taking charge of your fertility". It is execellent resource to help you find out your fertile days and signs of ovulation. The book is only around $20 and the best money you can spend to learn about your body...it has pics and other things to refer to. The most important thing to do is not to stress which could delay ovulation and infact happened each time I tried to conceive. Hope I helped a little
I didn't know that your cervix changes like that when you are fertile. You would think that after 8 pregnacies I would have heard that somewhere along the line. LOL! You learn something everyday.....
