Rash?

Hi, 2 questions. (1) Ive noticed that sometimes, when I stick my hands in my coat pocket ( winter weather, no gloves) when I take my hands out, I have small/medium bumps on my hands, close to my wrist. They usually go away in like 3-4 mins but what are these? Am I allergic to the fabric in my coat pocket? I dont know how to show my dermatologist since they go away so quickly? perhaps taking a pic of it might do the trick....
(2) Ive been feeling really tired lately, fulltime school and job -- between so many midterms and essay papers, Im always crammed with work. I want to start taking vitamins to help me a lil since I know Im not eating the right food since I never have time....so what vitamins do you guys recommend for a 23 yr female? thx!

Thank you every1. I will take the prenatal vitamins before I go to bed...they do usually make me feel icky so that should do the trick.  Im not really trying to get pregnant right now but in about 1yr 1/2 from now so I guess it wouldnt hurt. Amanda, I do think what I get are indeed hives...I will mention it to my dermatologist. Have a great day!

that's so interesting that you suggested prenatal vitamins Loriep, because I just bought some yesterday (I'm 42 y.o. w/NO intentions of having more kids) I mostly want my nails to grow back after removing acrylic -- and I was going to post a question asking if you can take too many vitamins, as in prenatal vitamins??  Do you know?  Also, Today is my 2nd day taking them and I already feel more energized, with my period to boot, could I be feeling them that soon??
Thanks!

Q#1 -- yes, you are probably allergic to the lining in your pockets.  Most likely the bumps are hives.  They go away soon after you remove them from your pockets since you are eliminating the source of your problem.  You should probably buy a new coat.  If you want to go see your dermatologist, he can do further testing to see what exactly it is that you are allergic to.  If you ever have bumps that last longer, benedryl will usually do the trick.

Q#2 -- Yes, prenatal vitamins would be fine.  Are you trying to get pregnant?  IF so then you really should be on those anyway.  If they cause constipation, you can take something for that.  However, they usually only do it for a short time, and then your body will regulate and adjust.  I am thinking your iron may be low.  That is often a cause of fatigue in women of child bearing age.  Any multi- vitamin should contain 100% of your daily allowance of iron.

Take care,

Amanda

The best time to take them is before you go to bed.  That way
since they are stronger they won't make you feel sick to your
stomach during the day.

You might try Pre-Natal vitamins - they have extra oomff to
them - like iron and folic acid.  Maybe your doctor can give
you advice.  Oh yeah!  Go for power naps.  I did this while
I was in college and working - it helps.  Exercise can also
give you an extra boost of energy as well.
