Regular periods now late

My periods have been coming every 28 days until recently. Last month ( September) it was 9 days late. This month I'm 5 days late still no period. I had spotting inbetween periods in august. Not sure if that's normal either. Pregnancy tests negative. Stressed out, but no more than usual. No other changes. Starting to become worried

Hi,
If you are on birth control, spotting between periods and irregular periods can happen, but you should consider speaking w/your gynecologist about this to be sure. Otherwise if you aren't on birth control, and you continue to experience spotting between irregular periods this might be an indication of an underlying health issue. Whatever the case is, you should get advice from your doctor about this soon.

Hi.  In my opinion, I don't see a reason to be overly concerned.  You can definitely speak to your doctor if you are having what is known as 'break through' bleeding when on birth control.  They may need to adjust it with either dosage or type.  (going off of your excellent advice from clement4now).  Otherwise, most women WILL go through a period of time in their life in which their period will be irregular.  Doctors like you to have a period every 3 months and want to see you if you aren't.  Otherwise, your period is just irregular like many women for 'whatever' reason (and there really doesn't have to be a specific reason).  It's a pain but not something to be worried about in terms of your health.  If you are having other issues, note those.  It is recommended to see your doctor once a year and this would be a good discussion at that time. good luck
