Reproductive abnormality in teenage girl

I have suspected since birth that my daughter might not have all her reproductive parts and/or that they were abnormal. I had her checked as a baby and they just said it was because she was a baby and baby parts are little. As if I had never in my whole life changed any diapers on a baby girl. Then she had light bladder leakage as a young girl of about 9/10. I asked again, are you sure everything is ok down there. Answer was, well there does appear to be a slight cause for concern but it should fully develop when she goes through puberty. Her menstrual period started at 13 and they are normal, but the first two days are extremely painful. ...and the missing parts have not shown up. She does not have a clitoral hood or clitoris. I know this because she came to me last week and said she didn't think she had one. Honestly at this point I am so distressed about the implications that I can't sleep at night. She will be seeing a special gynecologist at the end of August and naturally she is very apprehensive. Are there any other moms out there going through this? What is your advice? How best do I explain the impact this will have on her sexuality. I think it is so sad.

This could be a buried clitoris, micro-clitoris or Lichen Planus, which can cause this effect. Remember that the clitoral head is just the visible part of the clitoris.
