Risks of frequently changing birth control.

Is the risk of getting pregnant higher if I frequently change birth controls? I started out taking Yasmin, each time I have gone to refill my prescription they have given me a different generic form. The last time I had my period 3 times in a month and haven't had a period since...it has been about 6 weeks now and I am worried.

Hello,
If you have missed your periods for so long then you should get an evaluation done from a gynecologist and you should get a serum HCG test done to rule out any pregnancy and if the symptoms persist then hormonal imbalance due to switching birth control pills should be ruled out. There is always a risk of pregnancy by switching birth control pills and you should stick to one form of birth control pills.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

i would imagine the different forms of it your getting all contain the same ingredients if ur DRS prescribing it. have you compared packets? do so and see if there a difference. you need to see your GP about the absent period and have you done a pregnancy test
