Ruptured cyst

In March I had an ovarian cyst rupture. I had no complications until July but I had been on birth control. At that time I thought I had a double kidney infection & treated it without seeing my ob. My July period was 13 days late & I figured that it was late because of the kidney infection. My August period was on time & the kidney problem arose again but much much worse. I saw my ob & was diagnosed with functional cysts. I was also told that the fluid that leaked from my ruptured cyst in March was causing all the pain. I feel like I have the worst double kidney infection ever but the test said no. I am worried about my kidney health. I have had pain issues there since I had lapro for endo 2 3/4 years ago. I am having lapro again October 12th. I can hardly function right now through the pain. Anyone have a similer issue? Thank you :o)

I was actually signing on to this forum to post a question about a cyst, too, so I was really surprised to see a thread already started!

I had some very severe pain last Monday evening and ended up at the doc on thursday and found out it was probably a cyst that ruptured.  I was not able to get a vaginal ultrasound at that time, but the doc said as long as the pain goes away and doesn't get unbearable like before, I should be okay.  Otherwise, I need to come back in.

Well, the past several days the pain just comes and go, but nothing excruciating like when it ruptured.  However, this evening the pain started around 4pm and it has yet to stop.  (It is not 11:30pm.)  Again, it's not unbearable, but it does hurt.

Do I need to go back to the doctor, or does it just take several days for this to run its course??

thanks, Red Rose.  The problem is that I'm in training at my new job right now and I can NOT miss any work--even just getting off 20 minutes early--without getting points taken off for it.  (If you get up to so many points while in training, you get fired.)  The ppl. who do the ultrasounds don't come in until after I start work and they leave before I get off.  Soooo, that's why I've been hoping it would pass.  I could always go to the prompt care and they could probably do something, but even with insurance it costs more.  I'm just not sure what to do...  The pain lasted all night (did not keep me from sleeping though) and I still have it today, so I'll definitely call and talk with the nurse again tomorrow.
