HI THERE ALL...DO ANY OF YOU GET STABBING PAINS ON THE LOWER SIDES OF THE ABDOMEN AREA? I GET THIS FROM TIME TO TIME AND WONDERED IF ANY OF YOU GET THIS AS WELL, OR MAYBE KNOW WHAT THIS IS..THANK YOU
is this pain centeralized to that one area? If so, that could be signs of Apendicitis. You need to get that check out right a way, if it were to burst it could kill you. I know this becuase my husband went through this a month ago. If that is not the case, are you due for your period? It could just be ovulation and starting of your period.
Hope that helps

I agree with the other posters. Pain is a warning sign that something is not right. It is your bodies way of saying it wants some attention. Call your dr.
I've experienced stabbing pains so bad on my sides that it makes me throw up. I would scream and cry all day/night long, it would last for hours! I've been to the hospital because of them, and the doc. always rules them out as cramps.
I thought my appendixAppendectomy was going to explode (because it's the same area) but nope, just cramps.
You should get it checked out. That kind of pain is never fun, and it's very satisfying to know what it is, even if it's nothing.
Is it cyclical by chance? When I was on birth controlControl Control rx, I got stabbing pains around my left ovary the firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc and second days of my period EVERY time! It was so painfulPainful menstrual periods that I passed out a couple of times, and the rest of the time, I was frozenFrozen shoulder ... I could not move. It would only last 2-20 seconds for me, but it was horrendous! It can be really dangerous while driving as well. When I had an ultrasound, my left ovary was swollenSwollen glands. I was told was that too much blood was trying to pass through an area where it didn't fit, thus causing the pain (think about when you eat a chip and it goes down wrong ... it hurts the whole way down your throat).
It is important to figure out how long you have been experiencing it, how long it lasts, the frequency that you get it (hourly, daily, monthly, etc.), whether the pain moves or is always in the exact same place, etc. This will really help limit the possibilities of what it could be. Since I got off the pill (July), I have experienced the pain only ONCE (versus 4-5 times per mc). Good luck to you! Pain is definitely not fun!
I get it sometimes esp around the time I'm Ment to have a period... but I have PCOS which means its normally a cyst that has bust. Its a sharp pain that last a few secs or sometimes even a few min but then goes away.
Id go toyour gyne and have them do a scan and maybe some blood tests.
