Scared...Abnormal Bleeding w/ Birth Control

i was on ortho tricyclen for about 7 months and started experiencing breakthrough bleeding for the last 3 months so my doctor switched me to marvelon 28. this is my first month using it and so far i started getting break through bleeding 2 weeks after my first pill. (my third week). this is now my forth week. (my sugar pill week) and i was supposed to be getting my period on monday. except now... i can't tell the differance if im breakthrough bleeding or actually on my period. it's a little heavier than it was a couple days ago but still only bleeding now about a tablespoon a day. my periods used to be extremely heavy and id get a lot of cramping.. even when i was on orth tricyclen. ive been bleeding for 11 days now. im getting extremely worried.. and hoping the bleeding stops soon. has anyone ever experienced this? and would the breakthrough bleeding stop when i start my new pack on sunday? any inputs would be appreciated.

i had trouble when i used to be on birth control too.  I switched pills about three times and still had break through bleeding.  I finally just gave up the pill.  I felt it was doing more bad than good.  I would talk to your dr and perhaps consider another form of bc.  thats just my opinion because i even got pregnant while on the pill sixteen years ago!!!!
