Severe premenstrual bloat

I need some serious suggestions on what to do about the extreme bloating I get two weeks prior to my cycle. It is so extreme that it makes me feel two months pregnant. Very nauseous, can't fit my regular clothes, just very puffed up and so very uncomfortable.  It goes all the way up to under my breasts. I watch what I eat, I exercise (sometimes up to 7 days a week), I take Midol but doesn't alleviate much discomfort. I'm 46 years old and have talked to my doctor but she doesn't seem to have any suggestions either. Does anyone else experience this and if so, any suggestions would be most welcome.

So happy to hear from you and that I'm not the only one who suffers from this. As I live in Canada, we do not have Alieve available to us. I have never heard of hydrocodone though so I will research that, see if available here and maybe that would help for me. I do already drink a whole lot of water every day. I will try the bananas as well. From any other research I have done I know to stay away from spicy foods & caffeine. I really appreciate hearing from you both. Thank you so very much.

Start taking them before any of it even starts--about 2 days before. Also try eating bananas and drinking a lot of water. Maybe google what other foods can help period bloating!?

Oh my god yes I do experience that. The oddest thing, the only medicine that aleviates any of the uncomfortness or pain is ALIEVE-have you ever tried that? I take three nothing else works, not even hydrocodone. I drink a ton of water when I'm feeling like that, it seems to help a bit with the bloating. I don't know if it is bacause I go to the bathroom more or what but it does seem to help. Good luck to you- I hope you find a little relief!
