Sex, Paraguard. Period.

Hi Everyone,

I have my vacation coming up in less than two days and I noticed I'm spotting slightly although I'm not due to get my period until later this month. I am on the Paragard (no major complaints) and I wanted to know if I DO get my period while on vacation, is it safe to have sex with an IUD while on my period? I am usually against it but we may get frisky and not think twice about it :)

Any suggestions/insight/etc. is MUCH APPRECIATED.

Thanks in advance.

Seeing as Paragard is non-hormonal, it doesn't cause those side effects. Are you sure it's paragard and not Mirena?

Having sex on your cycle your cycle is fine, just personal preference. Some people find it messy or whatever. Having an IUD has no affect on anything.
