Sharp Breast Pain (21 mo post reduction)

I'm 25 and in June 2006, I had a double reduction mammoplasty. I had only minor complications - an infection at the incision site on my right breast. A few days ago, I started having very sharp pain localized in my left breast... almost along part of the incision scars along the left side and now today a bit around the areola. The sharp pain hasn't been constant...well, except for the last 4 hours... but there has been a constant pain of sorts for more than 2 days. sometimes, it feels like it's radiating across my breast.  

I don't feel a lump anywhere and from what I can see... everything looks fine. I called my GP but she's on vacation for a week... her nurse said to call the surgeon who did my surgery because it might be inflamed scar tissue or something... so I called his office and he's on vacation for the next 10 days. Supposedly, one of his colleagues is going to call me, but I just don't know what to do. It is very painful but I don't want to go to a walk in clinic where some newbie doc will tell me i'm overreacting and to take some advil... any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
