Slight bleeding over a week after copper IUD insertion

I had the Paragard copper IUD inserted 2 Wednesdays ago (it is now Friday). I have had no bleeding just some discharge, which seemed heavier than normal and when I went to wipe it this time I noticed some blood in it. Is this normal?
