Hello I am 25 years old and not currently sexually active, with my boy friend.
Yesterday, 4 April 2012, after taking a shower. I decided to take a look at my vagina in the mirror as it's been feeling "odd', like there was a stray hair or anything else from the shower that the water didn't wash away, it's been feeling odd like there was something stray in it off and on for a couple of weeks now maybe...but it was usually lower near the lips, I also shave down there as well.
Anyways, I found two small white-greyish patches in the upper inner part of my Vagina [I don't know any of the terms.]
One is kinda on the side, in a wrinkle/ fold thing? And the other is on my clit and a little bit inside it...
And this...this is really scaring me. I had my boy friend look at it and he says it looks like dry patches, but it feels smooth and they don't look or feel like raised bumps or anything and don't hurt or itch. The only time my vagina may itch is after I shave and let it grow back which I assumed was normal?
There is no flaking from it or anything. My boyfriend apparently has noticed the area before and thought it was a dry area and even told me so before and I didn't really think anything of it. This was a month ago.
He says it's gotten "bigger" but only very slightly like it "Spread" it's self out ever so slightly. I had him check today[5 April 2012] and he says it looked smaller today then yesterday. [4 April 2012.]
Honestly it looks like the patches are like "dead areas" It reminds me of dead patches of land where nothing will grow.
Today, 5 April 2012, I thought it felt a "twinge" of a funny feeling come from the area of theses spot/ patch things. Like a tiny little itch twinge thing or something like that.
But I'm not sure if it's just me scarring myself now or over thinking all of this or what but I'm freaking out. I don't have a job and no money to go to a doctor let alone any sort of specialist to tell me whats wrong.
Neither one of us have any STD, and like a said before, I am not sexually active with my boyfriend at this time. He is the only man I have been with and when we were doing it, we always used a condom. The only other thing I can think of, that may have caused this problem. If this "potential problem" isn't too serious...is...err if I was too rough with myself....
I dunno and I'm really scared and this is slowly going to drive me crazy, unless I some how come up with some money to go see a doctor about this, as soon as possible...Please, any sort of advice or info is appreciated...thank you.
I can't say with absolute certainty what these gray patches are or why they are there, but what I can say is that you should have this evaluated by a gynecologist, I know that you mentioned that you need to come up with the funds, so I would suggest that perhaps (I know this sounds terrible) you get evaluated at an urgent care facility. It is too bad that so many of us Americans are without health care so we have to go to the emergency room or urgent care facility to be "treated"
I am beginning to think that this could be a fungal infection. You may need an anti fungal or antibiotic to clear this up. Is there an offensive odor that comes from your vagina? Any unusual discharge?
I would imagine that if you were too "rough" with yourself by masturbation (by finger? or dildo?) your labia manora would be more of a red inflamed color other than a grayish color.
Could it be possible that you have an allergy to latex (condoms?) or maybe rubber (dildo.. if you use one, that is)
Do you qualify for state funded medical insurance? If not, I would suggest that you be seen at an Urgent care facility.. Some facilities offer a "bridge assistance" for patients who are financially unable to pay their medical bill. It would be worth asking around.
Good luck, I hope you get this figured out asap
No there is no odor what so ever, just small little white-grey areas. And now just this little itch "twinge"...Though I'm not sure if my mind is playing tricks on me or not...and yes it is too bad that most Americans don't have any sort health care. I don't think I would be as scared about this how ever if I at least could get a job to pay for any sort of medical bills the doctor wanted...but I don't think doctors charge reasonable prices any more, as it is.
I did another post explaining in more detail of what I might be going though, what I could think of I've probably not covered everything but I've racked my brain for possibility on this "potential problem". I have tried to call a few people about seeing some one on my zero Income. But it looks like I might have to jump though some bureaucratic hoops to even get seen...I'm not sure if they are urgent car or not, I'm still looking into it.
It's essentially the same post, just I tried to go back and think of everything I could. Thank you for at least looking at my post. I didn't know before signing up to this sight that I needed to pay $20 to actually post in the right forum =/ , so I figured no one would answer at all.
I had similar symptoms starting at 20 years old. I was diagnosed with eczema, even though it did not look very similar to pictures on google. However, the eczema cream worked well to clear it up and I later got some patches of eczema elsewhere on my body. I was very scared it may be something more serious, but it turned out to be easily manageable.
