I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS. A FOUL SMELL AFTER SEX WEATHER I CAME IN THE WOMAN OR NOT. I STARTED USING CONDOMS WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND THERE WAS STILL A TERRIBLE SMELL AND SLIGHT INFECTION THAT WOULD LASTS DAYS SOMETIMES WEEKS. THIS WENT  ON FOR YEARS BAFFLING DOCS. EVEN WITH A CONDOM. TILL I FOUND THE ANSWER!!!!   H PYLORI !!!!! I HAD H PYLORI AND WHEN MY SALIVA MADE CONTACT WITH MY GIRLFRIENDS VAGINA IT CAUSED THE INFECTION AND FOUL ODER. YOU BOTH CAN HAVE H PYLORI. GET THE TEST ITS SIMPLE AND EASY. IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS ANSWER FOR YEARS. HOPEFULLY IT HELPS YOU GUYS AS WELL. IF YOUR PARTNER HAS H PYLORI CHANCES ARE YOU DO AS WELL. YOUR SALIVA OR HIS WILL CAUSE THE INFECTION. TRY SEX WITHOUT A CONDOM AND ZERO SALIVA FROM EITHER OF YOU. BAM!!!

You will have an unpleasant smell if you do not wash after having sex.

If there is a discharge with a foul smell, then this could be an infection and you would need to have a swab taken and sent to the laboratory for analysis to confirm whether or not it was a bacterial or fungal infection.

Do bear in mind that if it is found that you do have a bacterial or fungal infection, your partner would also need to be treated at the same time.

Getting a bad smell down below, does not mean that your partner has been unfaithful.  As we age, our skin and odours also change.  Even soaps or what you use to wash yourself can sometimes give off an unpleasant odour.

Has the scent gone away since? If so, it was just the mixture of semen and your vaginal fluid. If it hasn't gone away, you need to see a gynecologist as soon as possible.

It could be either BV or an std. Do you have a primary gynecologist in your area or a clinic to get vaginally checked? If so,I think you should get that checked. Sometimes when you have unprotected sex the mixture of your partners sperms doesn't smell so great afterwards. But get checked out for safety reasons.
