Spotting and itching after my first time

by alr88, Jun 12, 2007 12:00AM
I had sex for the first time last Tuesday and for about 3 days after, every time I urinated there would be little spots of blood in the toilet and on the toilet paper, it would also hurt to urinate. Is this normal?  I had sex again on Saturday (well tried to) but it hurt too badly whenever he would try to go in, is it supposed to hurt that badly the second time? The next day I started itching really bad down there and it hasn't stopped, and it sometimes burns when I urinate. I don't have any kind of discharge, so I don't think it's a yeast infection.

The bleeding and burning could be normal.  I have a small cervix and during my first time, I had difficulty, too.  A lot of blood.  The first 5 times, I bled.  The burning when you urinate could be because you are torn, and of course, you are going to burn if urine gets into a tear.  The itching could be a change in the ph levels.  Give it a few more days, and if it doesn't improve see a doctor or at least ask a phar. to recommend something.  Vagisal will numb and stop the itching.

I highly doubt that this would be an STD.
Could be a UTI or yeast infection.  The blood could be from a small tear or the hymen being broken.....
If it persists for a week, I would see the dr. about a possible urninary tract infection which is non related to having intercourse.  This would have to be treated w/antibiotics.  If the itching persists, you should purchase MONISTAT at Walmart or Walgreens.  I would use the 3 or 7 day.
