Spotting pink/red cd12-cd13

I am a little worried about this spotting. I know we can spot around ovulation but I have never had this type of spotting before. I would think that if it was from ovulation it would be brownish given that it would be a small amount and by the time it exist my body it would be old. This is light pink and sometimes red! Not super dark but bright red like fresh blood red. I had horrible cramps starting on cd 9 and it stop on cd12 when I started to spot the pink and red. Now it’s cd 13 and I’m spotting red. If I need to go, I will see my doctor but I want to see if others have had this and if it was just a random occurrence or if it turned out to be something more serious.

Spotting and bleeding in between periods is pretty common (even if you had never had it before)- so I wouldn't be overly worried about it.  It could be an indication of ovulation, implantation bleeding, and many other possibilities.  Are you trying to conceive?  If it overly worries you, it doesn't hurt to see a doctor to put your mind at ease though.
