Starting birth control

by nodiggity, May 09, 2005 12:00AM
I recently started using birth control pills for the first time. On the day of my appointment, I had a very little bit of spotting, which the doctor assumed was the start of my period (although I did tell her it would have been a couple days early). I got my new pills and started taking them that day (first day of period)but did not actually get my period until a week and a half later. I am wondering if they are still effective if they were not started at the right time or if I should change something at this point. I just began the 4th week of taking my first pack. Thanks for any help!
