Still bleeding one month later after Novasure

I had my Novasure procedure done on February 26th and experienced slight cramping the first day, but no pain afterwards.  I had the yellowish/watery discharge for the first week or so, then turned more brown in the 3rd week.  I am now almost one month into and having what I feel is a period, but the blood is very red, not heavy with some clumping.  My doctor said it could last a good 3 to 4 weeks and as long as I'm having no pain it should be fine, but I am sick and tired of wearing a pad and not feeling free to have "clean" sex.  Anybody else have this kind of discharge this long after the procedure.  I feel I missed my "normal' period around March 4th and almost feel like I'm having my normal 1-2 week before period PMS of breast tenderness, but nothing else.  Is this bleeding ever going to stop?  Would appreciate anybody elses experience.

I had my Novasure ablation done on December 20, 2013. I had my follow up January 9, 2014. I was told the typical - slight cramping and discharge for a few days. Hospital paperwork said no tampons, intercourse..blah blah blah..for two weeks..contradictory to my doctor said said three. I was fine with the 3wk mark feeling he was probably airing on the side of caution. I am 46..althoughynhusbamf husband got a vasectomy -!i opted for this procedure because of the awful heavy periods and cramping. My doctor on Jan 9th have me the green light on everything. I told him I was still having the discharge going from the brownish nasty to the light bright red bleeding and also cramps on and off.. He seemed surprised that the fact I was still having discharge would keep me away from sexual intimacy with my husband. I am maybe self conscious..but euww..just can't bring myself to feel comfortable with that. I am so discouraged..want all these symptoms to go away so I actually feel like I did something positive for myself (and our sex life). I occasionally feel slightlynauseated too. Is this typical of what any of you ladieshave gone through with this and what had been your future experience with this procedure?! I am going to end up completely regretful if evey month I end up with the cramps and bleeding when he said he is confident I will be in the 90% that makes the period go away completely. So much for 'freedom' as this procedure touts..I feel like a prisoner of my body.

Well unfortunately it took a good 6 weeks before the bleeding stopped for me and I did in fact go to the emergency room sometime in March because I was cramping so badly and the blood was just gushing out of me.  Even though my doctor said this could be normal, he was somewhat concerned and even called me over the weekend.  He tried putting me on some progesterone (I think) and that only made me feel depressed, so I stopped that.  We decided to give it just a little bit more time and it suddenly stopped.  Now my periods are WONDERFUL, so hang in there.  I barely bleed for more than a day or two and can get by with just mini pads, but use tampons when I work out.  I have absolutely no cramping now whatsoever and usually only experience the breast tenderness a week or so before I have my little period.  If you would have asked me back in March 2008 if it was worth it, I would have said heck no, but now I'm very glad I did.

Good luck!

Chris

I just had mine done on Aug. 07 in which I was on my period when it was done. The first 2 weeks just some "stinky" discharge, but on Friday (3rd week) I started getting cramps but i thought maybe caused I exercised that day it was hurting a bit. I took 2 midols and thought nothing of it. Saturday morning I started my period. I am not talking about a light period either. Monday I called my Dr. and he said that it was normal. By Monday evening the cramping was so severe that I almost went to the emergency, but I took some pain killers. Today is Tuesday and I am still bleeding! WTF?! I don't know what to do. I have my follow-up appointment on Sept. 3rd.

It's been almost one month for me with similar symptoms. I see your procedures were at a year ago. Can you tell me how long it took to get back to normal?
thanks

I had Novasure with a D&C the first week of March, and am having very similar symptoms.  I think I may be having a period now, too, although not on schedule.  Like you, my discharge is very red and a little watery and I am getting tired of it also!!  I guess it's normal, but I hope it stops soon.  I assured my husband this procedure would help things, but I'm seriously doubting it.
