Stopped BC, pelvic/back pain, pregn. symptoms, neg. hpt

Horrible pelvic pains for about 4 days now. Stopped pills a month ago. Was on OrthoTC bc pills for about 15 yrs before switching to generic Tri Sprintec (insurance purposes). Been on generic at least a year but past 3-4 months I started spotting and in August had to double up from missing a dose. Yes, I had sex during that time too. I got a regular period (with spotting during that month too). I got a free coupon to try brand name (ortho-lo)for one month so I switched back for September and got a regular period. I stopped them completely at the end of September's cycle because problem got worse (spotting, nausea, food smell sensitivities, etc). I am planning to get pregnant but not until a few months.

Took a pregnancy test in Sept. and again a week ago.  Both negative and af was never late. AF is due again in one week. Uterus feels heavy and pelvic and back pain is bad. Just now starting to get sore breasts. I have 2 kids so I remember the soreness, but not as bad. Going for pelvic ultrasound tomorrow but still scared of pregnancy while taking bc pills, drinking, etc.  Doc says it could be ovulation pain, but for over 4 days??? Also took blood pregnancy test yesterday and waiting impatiently for results.

Just want to know if anybody else experienced these symptoms after going off of bc pills?  Help, can't concentrate at work.

Thanks for responding and I'm really sorry to hear about your miscarriage.  Well, I finally got the blood test results and they were negative for pregnancy.  My ultrasound only revealed a small fibroid (3cm) in my uterus which is supposedly the cause of the pain. I feel better now and I'm expecting AF today, but who knows if it'll come on time after coming off the pills.  Thanks for the advice about avoiding everything since I do plan to conceive soon.  Trying to add orange juice to my diet and cut back from my once a week social drinking. I just can't wait to become regular again so I can pinpoint my ovulation better for when I do want to conceive.  Sitting and waiting for the Dr. to come in and give you the results of your ultrasound was really nerve-wrecking. I was thinking everything from fibroids, ovarian cysts, to ovarian cancer.  It really made me see how hard it would be if I would never be able to conceive again, much yet be healthy again.

When I quit taking my former bc (ortho-lo, actually), I had a lot of those same symptoms. AF was almost a whole month late, and my breasts hurt. I also had spotting. I never had pelvic pain, though. On the other hand, there was a time when I had doubled up because my pills became unavailable to me, and, thinking that was why my breasts were sore and I was sickly, ignored the symptoms and got drunk and feel down some stairs. Next day I started bleeding, which turned out to be a miscarriage. So even if you suspect, avoid alcohol, even if you don't fear FAS. Alcohol just makes you do stupid things. Good luck!
