Strange Bleeding during cycle

I have been experiencing "clotty" periods now for about 1 year.  I have been having problems since I got off Lupron (hormonal theropy), and Prevera (treating my endometriosis).  It has taken me 8 months to go through 2 boxes of tampons.  When I do cycle, it looks like (and I don't mean to be gross) what is left after you stop your nose from bleeding.  It is sticky and more mucusy than normal period bleeding.  It's also either dark red or pale pink.  Does anyone else have this problem or suggestions?

Hello. Well my period started 'changing' after my childbirth almost 7 yars ago.  The most significant change is that every time I get my period, I get a yeast infection.  So not only am I plagued with the bleeding, but also with the annoyance of constant itching.  And even though my period may end, by itching may not, and sometimes does. This yeast also spreads to the skin on my breasts and when I scratch them, they get welts where I scratched!  Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, I have had significant weightloss, and since June 20th 2005 when I get my period, I have it for 3 weeks and quit for only 1 week.  Although now, I think I've had it for a straight month.  And now I am passing huge clots as well.  Last night I got out of bed 5 times a mess and each time had at least 2 clots the size of a golf ball (each one) ooze out of me (pushing my tampon out with it) into the toilet.  Sorry so descriptive.  I have been having bad cramps due to the clots too.

I also am worried about TSS.  I know it's rare, but there is only 1 week a month I am not wearing them, and I usually wear Supers.  I hate pads!!  I feel dirty and unclean and smelly when I wear pads, I just can't bring myself to wear them, although I may have too.  Any insight or sympathy would be great.  I had a pap about a year and a half ago, things looked okay.  Do I need to be concerned.  Or am I just messed up because of my 50 lb. weightloss and my period is a result of my bodies change taking place?  Thanks!

Do you have MTHFR??? Its a blood clotting diease. I have this and found out after I gave birth to my firstborn child who was stillborn at full term. They dont usually test people for this until after you have had a loss. There is a serve type of MTHFR and a less sevre kind...I have the less sevre type. If you have the bad one you could lose a child due to it because the clots could cut off the oxygen supply to the baby. If I were you I would seriously talk to your doctor about this just to be on the safe side. I would hate to hear you lost a child due to this because they never checked you for it!

Yeah, you should try to find a DR that will take you seriously. That many clots with that much pain does not sound normal to me.

My entire period is nothing but clots.  Small to larger than a quarter.  I have been tested for anemia and other blood disorders, but everything looks okay.  I have a list of other pelvic problems, but this clotty stuff, worries me most.  I have tons of pain and I suffer from nausea and fatigue.

I don't have what you describe specifically, but I do sometimes get clots.  I've read that as long as they are smaller than a quarter and are not accompanied by pain then there is nothing to be concerned about.  As far as the color I think bright, bright red is room for concern b/c that may indicate bleeding not from your menstrual flow.
