Strong odor coming from inside my vagina. Not a fishy smell, no discharge or itching.

I have a strong odor coming from inside my vagina. It's not fishy like you would find with a bacterial infection, and I have been to the doctor and she said there were no abnormalities nor infections. I don't have the usual yeast infection symptoms of itching, disharge, etc. either. It's just this strong odor that's not pleasant. It's almost like a nasty old blood smell, which intensifies after intercourse. Can anyone tell me what the cause may be and how to get rid of it?

Sometimes this is common for women and thus they douche occasionally. Douching is not recommended because it can get rid of good bacteria that helps fend off bad bacteria though.

hey there, this is very common for us women especially after intercourse. it shouldnt however last for long....douch occasionally if the smell persists

Thanks, I'm worried about douching though cause I had BV before. I've never douched before, what would be the most healthiest way to do so? Just so I don't wash away too much good bacteria...
