Swallowing high carbs

by Holly1, Apr 30, 2007 12:00AM
HI every one! I hope someone can help me here... For a while now when I eat breads or high carb foods it gets very hard to swallow.. IF I take a drink to help push it down it just hurts... For now I have stopped eating these foods.

IF you know wh ythis accurs please let me know! Thanks!

My husband has this...He had to go for laproscopic surgery...gastrio something rather..
Anyway..they found a growth of somesort ...restricting ..pain while swallowing breads..pizza...ect.
He had the area stretched...so for about 3 months afterward he had no problems...but as it started up again the dr. put him on meds to help with this...apparently acid blockers..which make him feel uncomfortable...The only other solution for him is to have it stretched every so often.
My boss' mother has this too.
A gf of mine has complained about this too...but hers is acid reflux.
Good Luck
