I have had what I believe to be swollen lymph node on the right side of my vagina, between my leg and my vagina. Has this ever happened to anyone before?
I have a dr's appt today, to get checked out...but I am freaking out, this has never happened to me before. I had a pap 2 weeks ago, so I know I don't have a disease or anything.
First off pap smears dont test for all STDs. If it is a swollen lymph node then it might be a viral infection. Are you having any other symptoms??? Now I'm not sure if we have lynph nodes there, I've been wondering the same thing.
Also it might just be a cyst, if it's closer to your vagina then it could be a bartholin cyst.
I hope that your Drs appointment gives you good insight!
I went to my drs appt yesterday, everything went well. I was freaking out for nothing. We do in fact have lymph nodes in our pelvic area. What caused mine to swell, was a hair bump, that got infected. I was given antibiotics to clear it up. My dr said that your lymph node (vagina) will swell if you have an infection, from your waste down. This could be a cut on your foot or legs...and your lymph node can swell, because it's working overtime to kill off the infection.
I started taking my antibiotics last night, and the swelling has already started going down....yey!!!!
Just wanted to share this with anyone, who might not be aware of this!!!
As, I am 27 yrs old, and I just learned about this yesterday!
