I took Terbutaline from 20 weeks, every four hours, until 37 weeks. I had no problems on it. When you quit taking it though, you will get "rebound" contractions. These can turn into real contractions or just Braxton Hicks.

I used terbutaline for preterm labor.  I didn't have any problems with it.  I used it from 27 wks until my water broke at 37 wks.

I was on it for both my boys, with my oldest I went into PTL at 26 weeks and terb in conjunction with bedrest kept him in. I was also given a few doses with my other son due to "false labor" which entailed months of wicked painful contractions w/ no cervical change. I am a big fan of it because it didn't knock me on my tush like mag did.

There seems to be a bit of controversy with the use of this drug in pregnant women.  To educate yourself further, check out this website...it should answer most of your questions.
