TIMING FOR TAKING PROGESTERONE

I perimenopausal and was just prescribed Estrace and Prometrium. The doctor told me to take the Prometrium at night and suggested that I take it the first of the month so that I would remember to begin the same time next month.

My question is that the online info I've read regarding Prometrium says that "The recommended dose of progesterone is 200 mg daily taken at bedtime for the last 14 days of estrogen treatment per cycle."

Has anyone been told this, or did you start taking the prometrium the same day you started taking estrogen?
