I have never taken the pill before, so i dont know quite a lot about it, could you please tell me if there is any chance that i am pregnant? im too young to have a baby and right now i only want to concentrate on my studies. am i supposed to be still taken the pill? or do i stop it? what do i do? do you reckon i could be pregnant?
I've been getting really sick lately, with things such as feeling really tired and getting headaches.
Any of your comments are much appreciated.

TAKE A TEST.  Noone can tell you if you are pregnant.

Did you start taking the pill the day your period started? If so, you're covered right from the very beginning. If you used the Sunday-start method, you're protected after seven days, so six days is a little short. I don't know that the extra day would matter that much, though, but I'd call your doctor to be sure. S/he may recommend taking the morning after pill (a misnomer - you really have up to five days to take it) or just continue the way you are. Really, though, I suspect you're quite fine. I just want to stress DO NOT stop taking the pill. Your other symptoms are probably just from the new meds or from stress. There's no way you'd have those kinds of pregnancy symptoms this early :-)

I am sorry but have to disagree with ya on the pg symptoms.  When I got pg with my first (a DD who is now 7) I was tired and dry heaving every morning and had terrible heartburn within a week of getting pg.  I knew WEEKS before my period was due that it wasn' comin' so it is very possible to feel symptoms right away.  I also think though that ppl can make themselves feel something so it freaks them out.  O well all she can do is test.  We cannot tell her.  Take Care

Actually, there's more you can tell her than just 'test'. You can offer information and advice. This isn't like someone posting "I'm four days late and I feel nauseated, am I pregnant?". In that case, go get a test already. In this case, though, you can give info on when birth control becomes effective and on emergency contraception. There are also occasionally posts from people who just had unprotected sex, and who are within the time limits to get emergency contraception and prevent an unwanted pregnancy. I don't think the ban on pregnancy questions applies in these instances. Just my opinion.

when i was on the pill i started them when i started my period for the extra coverage and didn't miss any. if you miss or stopped taking them on day 6 it is probably unlikely you got PG, but i would take a test in 2 weeks to be sure. the symptoms you are having are also a side effect of the bc pill. the pill tricks your body to thinking it is PG so you won't ovulate. so the symptoms are similar and tend to go away after a few cycles on the pill. i would suggest if you are not very good at remembering to take your pill, there are other just as effective birth control that doesn't need to be remembered everyday. nuva ring has the same hormones as the pill but it is inserted far in the vagina....you or your partner cannot feel it...and stays for 3 weeks. after the 3 weeks pull it out and your period will come. then put a new one in. it is extemely effective and has less side effects because it doesn't have to be injested and processed by your body. and you only have to remember to put it in once a month. good luck and be careful. you are right that you have school and other things that need to be the focus of your life...remember that when you have sex you can get PG even on birth control. i got pregnant on the pill and depo provera 5 times...the first time i was 16....it can happen. use more than one form of protection, condoms are great because they provide safty from sexually transmitted diseases. take care.

love....kimmie
