TTC with a dermoid cyst & one ovary

I have a 10x6cm dermoid cyst which my dr is simply monitoring as i only have ONE ovary, he feels that to operate may damage any of the remaining follicle left that will help me conceive. After advising me to start a family sooner rather than later, we are obviously now trying for a baby (5 months now) but after reading some of your posts, should i be worried about having a large cyst whilst pregnant. I wouldn't want to operate whilst pregnant in case of mis-carriage and not having the opportunity to try again, but have noticed there is a risk of rupture or twisting? Also a comment about whether a dermoid could become cancerous if left? I am due my 6monthly ultrasounds next month to measure it again and see its rate of growth. Help i'm so confused!
