Tampons

by snowbunnie36, Aug 05, 2008 02:47PM
I am 36 and I recently discovered that I left my tampon in from last months period.  I am FREAKING out right now because I have not had the usual pre-period sounds coming from my abdomen section yet, and I have only developed a horrible odor in the last 3 days.  No other symptoms.  What should I do?????????????

i would say go to the hospital first off if you left your tampon from last months period!

You are probably going to be fine.  It is just something to stress you out so your mind is playing tricks on you and holding back your usual monthly routines.  However, I would go see my doctor or at least call him and see what he says.

actually this is a fairly common post on this site. It happens more often then you would think. I think your post was very insensitive

snowbunny36- know that this has happened to other women as well, you DO need to go to the Dr ASAP!!!!!!! They'll probably give you antibioditics as you're likely to have an infection

you might have an infection, hence, the odor. You should definitely go to the doctor as soon as possible! A doctor can give you antibiotics to kill any kind of infection you may have developed. Be more careful next time. You will be okay!
