I was just wondering if anybody has read the book "The Secret" or watched the DVD? And has it changed your life the way it said it would? My friend swears by it, but I'm not sure about it.
I would like to hear your thoughts about it.
I'm totally turned off by the ads, and the websites and trailers.
If there is a secret, that really works, you'd think they would say basically what it is - visualizing success, or livingAdvanced care directives positively, or making every moment special, or only following your own path despite what others say, etc. and on and on.
This is a big money grab, as far as I'm concerned, and I don't even want to know what it is.
I saw it on tv an was irritated by the commercial. Dh told me he had a copy of the dvd someone gave him a long time ago. I watched part of it, couldn't make it all the way thru. Personally, I think it's someone's great idea to cash in on what we all know is true. It's no secret. It wasn't buried in the desert. None of that. Positive attitudes go a lot further than negative ones. You're not going to magically get stacks of checks in the mail like they say. If you believe in yourself you're likely to succeed. If you don't think you can do it, you don't even try, therefore you fail. If you're mean all the time, no one wants to be around you. If you're nice, people flock to you. It's just commonCommon cold sense that someone made millions on.
