Thick tissue findings on endometrial biopsy

by rldawson, Sep 04, 2009 07:02PM
I am 38 yrs old.  I have had clock work cycles since my BTL (10 yrs ago) without hormone replacement.  About 2 years ago my periods became heavier, with cramps and clots, but remained regular.  I had a period this year January and February.  March, April and until the end of May (periods are normally at the beginning of the month), no period.  June 21, I started bleeding again and have not stopped since.  My blood levels have been effected and I am now anemic. I had a ultrasound that showed my endometrial lining as 16mm.  My uterus is enlarged.  I had a endometrial biopsy done in which the physician was "shocked" by the amount of tissue and is "very interested" in seeing the results.  I am in a holding pattern now.  Waiting for results is killing me.  The physician said not to worry.  My Grandmother had uterine cancer and a hysterectomy.  My mom had early menopause.  What are my differential diagnoses?
