Tipped uterus and bleeding during intercourse

kvh
I am a 29 year old female I have been having some problems in the past and now with painful intercourse and bleeding during intercourse. My  obgyn said that my pain and bleeding was caused from a tipped uterus. I looked this up on the internet and can find no relation between a tipped uterus and bleeding. I am wondering if I should get a second opinion or if this is common.

last weekend, i had intercourse with someone who is MUCH larger than i have ever been with in my life...although it was not painful intercourse, there was one point where penetration caused a "stabbing" pain for for a second, and so we adjusted. there was no pain afterward, but later on in the day, i started cramping intensely, like a bad period, and bleeding heavily, bright red. the cramping lasted for a few days, but the bleeding has been consistent (7 days later) and it is still what i would consider heavy. i had a heavy period 10 days before the intercourse, and i am on birth control pills which have always regulated me perfectly, so it isn't an abnormal period. also, i would rule out an STD since he wore a condom. and i had a biopsy for cervical cancer a month ago, and a thorough gyno exam, and i was found to be free and clear of all things that would cause abnormal bleeding (polyps, endometriosis, etc).  not sure what the doc could do, but i am getting tired of the bleeding! what to do? could this be a result of "enthusiastic" lovemaking with a well endowed man? the last time i had intercourse was 4 months ago, with someone much smaller...

I have a similar problem and its worrying me alot but after looking at the forums, this fear has subsided but i guess its better to be safe than sorry to get myself a second opinion yes? Me and my boyfriend have been having sex for almost a year and a half now but recently, i bled during intercourse and it really scared the hell outta me and him. We then checked online and realised that it might have been implantation bleeding, but realised that implantation bleeding goes on for awhile while mine just comes and then within 8 years it stops bleeding. The first time it bled, the blood was brown-ish kinda? Like those you get before your period comes. Two days later we had sex again and i bled again. This time, the blood was bright red but similar to the other, it stopped within 8 hours. Its highly impossible that i am pregnant because this whole month we used condoms when we had sex and my boyfriend's pretty "safe" if you get what i mean. Furthermore, i do not have any other symptoms of pregnancy at all. Help (?)

Two years ago, I got off birth control and started to only have sex with women (still penetrative, sometimes larger than penises) but never bleed unusually. This year, I had two encounters, three months apart, with two different men, where on the fourth time we have intercourse, i bleed heavily, like a period- only during sex and then it is over. One man told me that it happened to his last girlfriend as well (not well endowed to be honest, nor were either "rough" and I was fully wet/prep-ed). All of us are STD free and I have paps usually under a year because of past HPV and constant relocation/partners (I did have a LEEP in 2001). I bleed only during the fourth intercouse then resumed  getting my period a week or two later.  I have been off birth control for almost two years now. However, while hormonally better, I have had bizzare cycles that sometimes are right on schedule or two/three weeks apart. The latter is more recent and noticable with presence around all female (my job) or inc/dec physical activity (no drastic change in weight ever in my life.) They may last one day (past four months)  or seven days (this month-two weeks ago from start and time when I discovered the same incident with the second male partner. The sex doesnt hurt but afterwards there is achy period like symptoms in my stomach (like a first day or day before starting my period) and then disipates. I resume intercouse after a few days of rest with no bleeding.
It just doesnt add up.  One notable thought is that all four acts are within two days?? I dont know what tests to ask for....ultrasound? Or do I know what may be the cause: endometiosis/cystic abnormalities?? I've heard all of the possibilities. Yet I found a similar detailed situation that resonated (except I enjoy my first time with my partner) but for a young girl, 16, having sex for the first time:
She "complained that it felt as if her partner's penis was pushing against her uterus and cervix, but she did not blleed; she assumed this was normal for her first time and didn't think much of it. Her second and third experience of sexual intercourse she found less uncomfortable and did not bleed at all. However, the fourth time she had sexual intercourse with her boyfriend she felt discomfort again and then her and her partner realised that she had bled a lot, all over her partner, herself and her sheets.
And if I recall right, I had the same experiance my first time with the same man I just had sex with (yet that was eight years ago) but just thought, "my cherry popped" -what does that mean...I grew new "cherries"?? I am pretty sexually active but perhaps style of sex with a man is different. What do you think. any one??

I also have a tipped uterus, but I have never experienced pain during intercourse.  I know that is a common complaint, but I have never heard of bleeding because of it.  I would definitely get that checked out ASAP.  Also, from what I've read your symptoms are also common with people with endometriosis.  I'm not trying to scare you, but you may want to look into that as well.  Best of luck.

ok, yes, it is more of a discomfort in the tummy rather than the vagina.its as if the penis hits the inside of your tummy.
yeah, you shouldnt be bleeding that much. what about tumors or ovarian cysts? i dont know anything about either but understand that these could be a couple of reasons for the bleeding. i think i would go get a 2nd opinion. besides, we already get a period once a month who want to get it any other time right?

I don't have a problem with dryness at all the bleeding is bright red and too much to be from a cut it usually takes about 1-2 days for it too clear up. I doesn't happed all the time just sometimes but it is starting to be more frequent. It is more like starting a period for just a day or two. Also there is no vaginal discomfort only stomach discomfort.

I'm experiencing something similar. i have a retroverted uterus and ultrasound show signs of PCOS. My gyno said the bleeding is due to hormones and this might be true because the bleeding disappear if I'm on the pill. but come back once im off. doesn't last for more than two days though, like a short period.

well, all i can contribute to this is that a friend of mine has a tipped uterus. it hurts during intercourse. if he is really far in its almost as if his penis hits something and you jolt back in pain.the whole act isnt painful its just if he is far in and if things are moving fast. however, she didnt say anything about bleeding. sometimes woman do bleed a bit after intercourse if things are dry down there and/or he is large and you are not if ya know what i mean.i may go ahead and get a second opinion if it make you feel better and you will have some answers.
