To be or not to be Pregnant

Sounds silly coming from a nurse but I am not in L&D so here goes.  I have extremely tender breasts X 10 days, excessive urination, saliva and gas.  My breasts have large blue veins and my first fever blister ever.  I should start on Wednesday sometimes it is only a 26 day cycle which would be Monday.  I have taken three tests First Response and they are negative, but I truly feel pregnant and was only semi-trying, the symptoms made me take notice and they all lead to pregnancy.  I used 1st morning urine today nothing.  Light cramping this morning usually it is heavy cramping and then start.  Should my levels be detectable or am I headed for a miscarriage?  I have children but I also had TSS after my last and almost died so my organs have been through alot and many surgeries after the TSS.  I guess I am wondering what my levels should be because I thought with the symptoms and being so close the test would be positive.  What do you think????????????????????????

The sympotms you describe usually happen later in pregnancy... except cramping.

I would wait until Wed. to take another... I know it is hard waiting, but you will get a more accurate result.  I would not worry about miscarriage until then.  Unless, of course you have any severe pain!

What does TSS mean, btw... (tubal sesation?  That's the closest guess I have so far!  Maybe I need some more coffee before posting!LOL)

Here is an idea of the level... (there is a vast individual difference!)

3 weeks after menstration - 0 to 5
28 days after menstration - 3 to 426
35 days after menstration - 17 to 7,340
42 days after menstration - 1,080 to 56,500

Most over the counter tests (EPT, first response, and clear blue easy) detect at 50.  Others like the walmart brand detect at 100.

Now under 5 mIU/ml would be considered negative and anything above 25 is definitely positive.  However, as I stated most OTC tests do not detect that small of an amount.

I was not sure if you meant this last Monday or the coming Monday (5/22)... If you meant this last Monday then you would DEFINITELY have a positive result (if you are preg,) by 42 days after which would be May 31... BUT you could have a positive result as early as tomorrow (May 17).  Hope this helps!

TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME!!!! LOL Sorry, it finally just popped into my head...

I do not have much knowledge on that or the ensuing effects, so on that much, I cannot comment.
