Toilet paper: Culprit for some of your 'mystery' vaginal issues?

Hello to anyone reading this! I wanted to pop in and share something I read recently that I think could help a lot of women.

There was an post on Reddit recently (not sure if I'm allowed to link directly), where a woman talked about her 'mystery vaginal infection' that had been going on for several months. She had excess discharge and was experiencing irritation constantly. All tests were negative/normal and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. She tried several antibiotics and creams, changing her laundry detergent, soap, supplements, diets, etc. etc., to no avail.

It turns out she had an allergy to the bleach or formaldehyde in the TOILET PAPER she was using! Once she switched to a recycled type with no bleach (Marcal) her problems stopped.

Please, please, please spread the word because clearly it is not widely known that toilet papers can have bleach and formaldehyde in them that people are allergic to!  When I had a 'mystery infection' going on for 3 years not one doctor I saw ever mentioned changing toilet paper and it may have saved me a lot of grief.

I read your thread from about 5 years ago and I am hoping that all the problems women discussed on there will be cured by this solution you offer. I too have been suffering from vaginal problems for more than one year now and several doctors have yet to find a solution to my problem. Thank you for posting this and trying to reach out to those who have similar problems.

I think you just cured me!! Thank you so much for posting this information. I've been going through a nightmare down there since August. No one can figure out what is wrong with me. I use the most expensive and softest brand of toilet paper and my research says that is the worst. Switching today!

I've read your posts about everything itchy in the vaginal area. It sounds like me up until now. I gave up on the Drs and constant labs that say I was normal when I was in severe itchy trouble and I smelled horribly down there. This went on for about a year. I had strep and took cipro and all of a sudden BAM! Misery found me. I found a post on natural remedies to alleviate odor, pain and itch in your vagina. It's baking soda and water. I had it baaaaaad to the point I cried to my husband but I deuched with this and instantly I felt relief!!! You have to regularly do it for 2 weeks but if we have the same thing- please give this a try. You must try and I hope you can get the relief soon!
