Tongue Numbness and feelings

by NYflyer22, Mar 01, 2007 12:00AM
Hi...I'm a 21yr old female who over the last three days has experanced numbness on the rt. side of my tongue. I take medications on a normal bases and have never had this problem before, so have opted that it couldn't be what's causeing this. All though; recently I have started taking B12 to give me more energy during the day. I take 2 every morning before breakfast at 100mg each. I have little to no stress in my life, and get a good amount of exersize and sleep regulerly. The only think it makes me wonder is it because of my recent cold that is not quite left yet, but is slowly depleating.

The othing thing that bothers me about my tongue being numb on the rt side is that I cannot taste anything as well. It is as if my taste buds were all burnt in a way. The only strange thing is that while numb and not tasting there is a sort of weird taste that I get when I eat which would be the taste of the food just bland and not really there.

Now today when I arrived home from work I glanced in the merrior and smiled and noticed that my lip on the rt side didn't full respond. Making it look as if my smile was off and parctially cover my teeth. This is when I decided I need to get some insight and jumped on here. It's so bizar and I really don't bother becoming to concerned about things, and let them go away. This is just a little to much for me though, and I don't know how or what I should do about it. Do I go to the doctor, for get about it and let my cold clear and see if it goes away? Can you siguest anything at all, would be helpful! thanks so much!!!
