Trouble after Hysterectomy

by no1grammie, Jan 25, 2006 12:00AM
I had a hysterectomy in Oct. 2005. About 2 weeks after that, I started having a lot of problems. Just wondering if it was coming from the surgery. Heart beats extremely fast, can't think or concentrate, real dizzy, can't focus on daily chores, headache's, left arm and leg goes to sleep, body tremors, joints ache, blurred vision, jaws chatter like I am cold, can't remember. I never had any of this before the surgery and the Dr's can't figure out whats wrong. One Dr said I have a thyroid problem. First it was to high, and now it seems to be to low. I have had lots of blood tests, MRI, thyroid scan, blood pressure is fine and am going to go for an MRA this Friday. I would really like to know what else to do or if anyone else had ever had this to happen to them. 2 neurologist claim that nothing is wrong. One actually laughed at me. Which I didn't appreciate at all. When I stand up after sitting only for a short time you would think I was pushing 80 years old.(no offence to anyone that is 80-please) I am only 47. I found this site and thought it wouldn't hurt to post my question. I would truly appreciate any thoughts or input. Thank you.

Has your md recommened a hormone test? they are just simple labs--blood work.

I am 43years old.I had a complete hysterectomy on Jan 30,2006. I had to be givin blood because of anemia on the 1st of Feb. I had a reaction during the process and the transfusion was stopped during the 2nd unit. I had developed large hematomas on both sides of my abdominal incision. I released from the hospital on Feb.2,2006. I was in alot of pain and very nauseated. On Feb.3,2006 I was trying to vomit and my incision burst openand I started bleeding very heavy. My husband calledan ambulance and I was taking back to the hospital for another 2 day stay. During thistime I have to have my incision packed with gauze and bandaged at least 2x daily. I would like to know what percentage of womenwho have hysterectomys have this kind of problem and how long is the healing process.

Just wish I could get the Dr's to STOP saying its all in my head cause its not. I wish I could turn back time and I would have never had the surgery done. I would have just lived with the overflowing period...I have since lost my job and everything because of the tremors, stuttering and dizzy. I just don't know what else to do...

Can you e-mail me? ***@****- I think I may have some information that can help you. I PROMISE I am NOT going to try and sell you anything... this isn't a ad e-mail invite. This exact same thing has happened with me and I am 30 and had a hysterectomy when I was 28. I am now close to finding "me" again. I just have a few suggestions that you may want to tell your Dr.
