UTI , BV, and Yeast Infection

Ok so , i have an issue. I have a problem with UTIs and BV i believe , But , can a UTI cause smell kinda like BV due to a bacteria infection . I got antibiotics for my UTI and i started taking them and a day or so later it seems as if the smell that i believed to be BV was almost completely not there , is there a way my medication also helped my BV or could it have been something else ? If so what could have been ? or could a UTI also cause that smell ?

I'm not really sure but generally UTI's do not smell anything like BV.  BV is foul.  It's in the vagina.  And a UTI is in the bladder way down the urethra.  You could have had a slight odor and mistaken it for BV.  But the good news is it is going away.  BV is hard to treat and flagyl is the drug of choice which is a different class of antibiotics used to treat UTI's.  But they are all antibiotics and will all have an affect on pathogens.  Unfortunately though, be on the look out for yeast overgrowth which is common after taking any antibiotic.  good luck and glad you are feeling better.
