UTI and first time intercourse?

I just read that the first time intercourse can introduce the bacteria to the urinary tract. Is this really true? And also by having "too much" sex? What is even implied here, how much is too much? I'm a virgin, and I'm saving for marriage, so I was wondering if I might have a problem in this in the future. Thanks in advance.

You can contract a UTI from not having sex too, that doesn't really matter. Just obviously there is a risk because of having sex and what is involved there. What they mean by having too much sex is that it can irritate inside of you by having a lot and so this can cause cystitis etc. I wouldn't worry about, most people are going to pick up a UTI infection or something at some point, even just by being ill or run down there is the risk of getting it. But then every time you have sex you can be okay and not catch one. It honestly nothing to worry about.

It is always best to urinate before and after a sexual encounter to lower the risk of UTIs.  Some people are prone to get UTIs more than others.
