I've been really stressing myself out this past week as i am due on my period but it has not come. I'm only 2 days late.My cycle usually lasts anywhere between 30-36 days and my period lasts for about 5 days. My last period was on the 18th of December.
It all started on Sunday evening when i started to get PMS cramps. So i thought must be coming but nothing has happened apart from having a burning ache in my bladder area which feels the same as when i had a UTI a year ago. Could it be putting off my period or my stress has delayed it? I'm thinking of booking a trip to the Dr to check about the UTI but i'm abit scared that it would turn out i'm pregnant. I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months and we always use protection and have never had a condom fail on us. So i don't see how i could be pregnant. I've been having to urinate more frequently these last few days too, but my bladder feels really full but then only a little comes out. Anyone have any experience of this or advice?
How are you? What other symptoms are present? Urinary tract infection may indeed present with pain while urinating, urinary frequency or urgency. To rule this out, you may need to have a urine test done. Urine pregnancy tests may also help determine if there was conception. The chance of conceiving depends on your birth control method as well as your cycle and fertile periods. Period delay may also attributed to hormone changes, illnesses, gynecological issues and as you mentioned, stress. Take care and do keep us posted.
