Use of Premarin

by ssh, Nov 19, 2007 06:43AM
My mother had a surgery for womb tumor in 1977. A large fibrous tumor was removed. After the surgery the surgeon advised my mother to take Premarin (Estrogen) for the rest of her life. She is still taking Premarin. Her age is about 67 years (now) but her health is not good. She developed heart problems (angina) about 10 years back. She has digestive system problems. She has severe leg cramps. She has gall bladder infection.

My questions are that is it possible that my mother's problems are connected with Premarin? Is it absolutely necessary to take Premarin all her life? What will happen if she stops taking Premarin?
