Vag. Odor, Discomfort, Pain & Swelling. Plez Help

I'm a 16 year old african american girl, I'm sexually inactive but I do have a boyfriend and we do kiss. I don't do any types of drugs and I don't drink. But, if my memory serves me right its was two days ago after I shaved (w/o using shaving cream, it was my 1st time shaving) I felt discomfort. At first I thought it was just due to it not being a close cut but that's not what was bothering me. It was the lips to my vagina. It had this odor and I was sure that it wasn't there before, not only is there pain and discomfort, I keep getting this feeling as if somethings moving around in me. That or I'm just nervous of what could be happening to me. I'm not sure of what to do or what could have caused this, could someone please help me?

A pediatrician wouldn't be the way to go, see a gynecologist if the symptoms persist.

hi... maybe u should try and consult a pediatrician since you're only 16... it sounds like u might have either a yeast infection or vaginitis (inflammation of the vagina).. hope this helps..

Hi there,

well, good for u for being a good girl :) it's actually better that u didn't use any shaving cream coz that will cause more irritation.. I'm not a pro, jst trying to help that's all.. :) maybe you're having an irritation from shaving it for the first time.. sometimes u do get that tingling sensation inside though.. do u use some sort of wash or anything at all?? maybe u can give me a little bit more info so maybe we can both try and figure out what's wrong :)
