Vaginal Cut During Sex

Yesterday my boyfriend and I were engaging in foreplay.  He was fingering me and accidentally went too hard and cut a decent sized hole right next to where urine comes out.  It is extremely painful when I get urine in there (even though I am doing everything I can to keep the cut covered up when I do go to the bathroom), and I don't think it is something that will need stitches, but I am just very uncomfortable right now.  Are there any suggestions as to what I can do to get it to heal?  Each time I go to the bathroom I keep the area very clean by wiping and then washing the area with warm water and mild soap.  I have also been using Neosporin in moderation because I am not sure if it would cause a yeast infection or not.  I am sort of a clean freak as far as that area goes, but I am very active in my daily activities including being a coach.  I am desperate to hear any sort of advice as to how I take care of this short of seeing a doctor.  Thank you.

I recently had sex with an ex of mine, and the day after i noticed a tear on the end of the vaginal opening, over the next week small bumps and cuts started forming around my clitoris down to where the cut was. I dont know what this is, a yeast infection i irratated by sexual intercourse or more serious like an STD? PLEASE HELP. ASAP

Over the past year I have been masturbating (female, 17) and I have had thrush twice. Recently I seem to have got a mild version of thrush and I have also cut inside the lips of the vagina above the clit. Previous comments say to keep it dry and let it air but I can't because its inside? Its really painful constantly, especially keeping me awake at night. Any advice please?

Just to let you know,  urine is naturally sterile so while painful, it's not dangerous... do however keep that area clean from fecal matter and the like!

My boyfriend and I had sex 3 days ago and it was rough and I was a little dry.  The next day i was sore and noticed cuts on my vagina near my anus, but it wasn't horrible pain.  However the day after that I was in excruciating pain.  The cuts have seemed to get worse, and it itches around my clitoris a little.  I think because my skin is irritated.  It burns to pee.  I am in horrible pain and it hurts to walk/sit.  I havent been to a doctor and I don't know what to do.  I have been putting neosporin on the cuts and it seems to relieve a little pain but its still horrible.  Has anyone ever had this happen to them/ have any advice????  :(

I have a similar problem.  My self and my boyfriend have sex fairly often.   But one day a few months ago when we were finished there was blood on both of us.  I figured I was just having my period early,  but i did not bleed at all for a few days.  Then when we went to have sex again there was a lot of blood again.  This has been happening for about 3 months now on  and off.  I have not had my period at all for 4 months.   I think it might be a cut that is reopened every time we have sex.  Because I get a sharp pain in the same place every time I bleed..  But I don't continue to bleed after sex.   When blood shows up some is very thick and dark colored like old blood and some is fresh and light colored.

Does anyone know how to treat this.. The cut isnt on the surface but deep inside.

I'm the daughter of a perinatal nurse.

You should keep the area clean (your routine with washing and mild soap) AND dry.  I would definitely have a practitioner/MD see if you need stiches.  You want the area to heal well.  Recurrent urination on a wound has a lot of bacteria.

For the time being, if the area is REALLY painful, use some (I can't think of the name right now, but you use it on your teeth/gums to make the area feel numb if you have pain).

How about wet wipes, or baby wipes, etc.?  And the Neosporin thing...is that because of yeast?  And the cut is directly next to where the urine comes out.  Thank you for your replies!!

Hey, forgot to add....when women have episiotomies from giving birth and are stitched back up---they usually keep that area clean with witch hazel.  Just FYI.

Oh, and I don't think the Neosporin should be used there.

Hi, the only thing I can think of is to clean the area with witch hazel.  I wouldn't use soap (even mild) because it could irritate the cut.

Also, I'm not exactly sure where the cut is located, but if it's below the urethra, when you urinate try bending down so the urine flows directly out and not past you.  (Does that make sense)?  Good luck...hope it heals soon.
