Hey -- I'm dealing with the same issue right now - mine comes & goes though, and has been around for about a week now. I was trying creams & ointments but nothing helps - actually the last two days, I've just left it alone & gotten out of the shower, dried off thoroughly & just put on a robe to let it "air out"... it's helped a bit. The fissure for me is also causing irrition (like diaper rash) around the area - UGH, not fun.
I'm visiting my doctor on thursday for a check up -- my old doctor used to also just give me a cream, and she said it was hormonal, just the way I am -- no stds either. If you're really unsure you should just tell them to test you once & for all so you're not wondering... but if they don't think it is, then thats good! That particular area for me is just REALLY sensitive, it's annoying.
Would love to hear anyone elses ideas on how to fix this.
Herpes can only be detected by swabbing the lesion and sending it off to the lab for diagnosis. It is not a blood test. I would talk with another doctor and tell them you NEED an answer as to how to clear this up, that you are deeply bothered by it and don't accept 'nothing' or 'don't worry' for an answer. Tell the doctor and make sure they understand you must have a diagnosis and a resolution! There must be something you can do, even if it were herpes they hahve medicines to help.
Doesn't sound like herpes as herpes breakouts barely ever last longer than a week and on rare occasions (usually initial breakout) two weeks. Herpes would never last that long.
hi....im a 20 year old virgin and i have had a few fluid filled lumps come up near the entrance of my vagina ....
they did not hurt, i only discovered them coz i felt a lil lump with my finger....this happened a few days after using new tampons.i freaked out not knowing what it was....i put boiling hot water on them and rubbed salt into them:( i think it scared my skin inside a bit they only started to bother me n give me some pain after that.i went to the doctor and she examined them....and did a swab....on the lesions and inside my vagina....it came back negative....and she said its anxiety making me panic and try not to think about it women get these things, its just like little lumps on your tounge....i was still scared so a few days later i seen her again and she gave me a bloodtest.. that was also negative, it came back normal....i asked her would the test have picked up if i gave herpes to myself from my own coldsore and she told me the test would pick up the herpes virus if it has been transfered from one place to the other....ive had these things for around 4 months now....they havent gone scabby and i havent gotten anymore....ive had her look recently again and she had a real good look and said the same thing....they are normal lumps that are just prominent.
should i still worry? i still get a bit of pain near the hymen at the side....theres a lil whole as if i scarred my skin with the salt and hot water....how long would a thing like that take to heal :S:S??
