I have been in the same type of situation for over a year. I have been diagnosed with Herpes and ever since I have been getting vaginal infections. I have been treated for BV about 4 times and the last time was a month ago when I was given Flagyl and then that didn't work so I was given a cream and then I was still in pain so I went back and found out that I had a yeast infection. I am constanly in pain after intercourse and it is very frustrating. I usually have pain on my inner labia on my left side and I even had a biopsy done on that spot. The only think I can think is the same as you that the herpes are still slightly around, then again I was taking a prescription for then two weeks ago and found out that it was the yeast infection. So I am at a loss with you it is very frustrating and puts a real damper on wanting to have intercourse. I also noticed that my husband likes to shave his area and because he has some hair that grows on the shaft I am wondering if the stubble is causeing the pain. If you find anything that helps I would sure like to know. Good luck.
