Vaginal Issue :[

Ok, so it is valentine's day and my boyfriend and I had sex. Although we went a little longer than normal and Halfway through we had to use some stuff.. (random add in: i got off my period yesterda) anyway.. well now after having sex I was like wow I hurt and when i felt down there my vaginal lips were swollen. Is that normal? They are puffy and red and sore to the touch and now that I have underwear on and are sitting they kind of burn?? We took a shower right after because I thought maybe that would help, but nothing still swollen and hurting. Do I have something? Do I need to go to the doctor? This has happened one other time and I am almost certain it went away the next morning? I felt I should go ahead and ask this now though just in case. please help!!

It sounds like a reaction to whatever "stuff" you used.

no need to get all paranoid some women hurt after sex. Is it the first time you are having sex? if so then quite normal to feel a bit of pain after. About the swollen labia (lips) they should reduce their size don't worry. However if there is a persistent pain, redness and swollen labia it best to check out your Doc. Also having rough sex can lead to these problems.
