So um ya, Since I can't bring myself to ask these questions to anyone I know...why not strangers?
Ok my b/f and I had sex 3 days in a row last week. I was 1/2 unconsious due to some medication so I wasn't as aware of pain so to speak. Then I went away for the weekend and Friday I noticed pretty sever vaginal damage (tearing/whatever). I was completely abstinant until I came back Mon. then we had probably some of the roughest sex ever and he is well endowed. So now I had injury upon injury. I'm thinking I may have needed a stich quite honestly. Not to mention the inside of my business feels similar to a very painful bruise if touched in certain locations. Well I decided to just refrain from all sexual activity and let it al heal etc. Well, it hurts to walk and I can't use the bathroom unless I'm in the shower.
Also I hadn't shaved my "area" for a few days. I usually shave everyday. Well yesterday I extreme irritation on one of the lips and the crease between that and your thigh (whatever that may be called). I immediatley freaked out of course assuming the worst when it dawned on me it was hair bumbs. Due to the internal issues there is an excess of fluid preventing any drying of the area. Also the tears have this odd looking white matter on them which I am assuming is a scab like in your mouth. The only problem is that due to the moisture issue it's all slowly becoming more severe and irritated. Now along the tears there are bumps (talk about scary)of "healing skin" and there are bumps around those areas as well. I thought they were all hairs and went to tweezing yesterday. Well aparently that's where I went wrong.
Now anywhere I tweezed is blistered/infected/pimple like in a sense. I also had a nervous breakdown here too. But i've had the same thing happen to ingrown hairs in other regions. So basically any minor tear is a big issue, and all major tears are just hideous and scary and it looks nothing like anything I've ever seen before. I know it's not herpes and that I don't have a disease-but it's all just so awful looking/feeling.
How in God's name do you take care of this-b/c obviously when left to my own devices I do more damage. So...any suggestions?
O ya...and I forgot to mention that I think the inside might be getting infected well hell, lets be serious. It's all at risk for infection right now. And I think I have swollen nodes/gland thingys...now what
I am completely thinking the same thing that she said...go to the DOCTOR...that is something that you should have done when you first noticed the tearing....try to tell your bf not to be so rough while you body heals. The doctor might tell you to refrain from any sexual activity.....but im wishing you the best...just make sure you take yourself to the doctor first thing.. Princess
Ok well I made an apt. but I wont get in there till monday. But I finally realized the bumps are actually only wear I have irritated skin by shaving (i realize that was a dumb idea too but in a way it helps; but it also harms) like I have done before, but due to the conditions of the area the moisture is making them worse than ever before. Or they aren't bumps at all they are little tears or they are places trying to heal along large tears. If I try to let everything dry out a little bit then it looks like your normal everyday extremem razor burn-I've experienced this a few times throughout my life-razor burn that's in a location that is prone to sweat-then chaffing-then shaving bumps can't heal and become raw spots. The worst I have ever experienced prior to this was in 6th grade the first time I shaved EVERYTHING near that region and then started my period and wore a pad. Needless to say after that I switched to tampons lol.
My bf feels terrible. There has been minor tearing (In my opinion major, but in retrospect minor) before that looks like a tiny paper cut and goes away in a few days. And I'm not exactly forth coming w/ female issues. So it's not totally his fault.
But, his temp fix till monday has been to try applying this stuff called corona (not the beer) it's basically for livestock, lol but it cures diaper rash and skin irritations better than any other product on the market. It also is better than neosporin. But I tried it yesterday and it didn't necessarily feel better but it stopped feeling worse-so I guess that's a good sign.
So the whole point of this novel is-Does anyone have any other suggestions of products-or temp remedies that I might try?
How do you know you don't have herpes? Have you ever had a HerpeSelect blood test? I don't want you to freak out even more, but it does sound like a pretty good possibility.
On another note, I urge you to be more assertive about your 'female issues'. Sex is supposed to be fun for both of you. If it's painful, you really should tell him--and stop. Painful sex very easily becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, and you don't want to set yourself up for problems with miserable sex. If you want to be sexual with him but you're in pain, give him a blowjob or handjob... and wait until you feel better to have intercourse again. Also, always make sure you're totally aroused and well lubed before even thinking about having intercourse :-)
Hi ladies. This is a repost from a few threads on the vaginal tearing issue... might be of some help :-).......
I cannot believe that so many of us are having the same issue with no results! I am 24 and have suffered from these vaginal tears and itching off and on for many years. I have found that it comes at the same general time in my menstrual cycle... and it is definately NOT HERPES! I have regular check ups and have never been diagnosed with herpes (even before I became sexually active!). I too think that it has something to do with the vaginal flora and the yeast levels. I am a certified herbalist and nutritionalist, and I am starting to think that the cause for all of this may be a systemic candida infection. Candida albicans is the scientific name for yeast. When it becomes systemic it can cause all kinds of problems. Google it and you will find many holistic websites that list the many and varied symptoms. It effects everyone differently, so it can be hard to diagnose. This is also the reason why the mainstream medical community does not really recognize systemic candida infections as a real illness.
We are all on some version of the standard american diet... over processed foods with too much refined sugar>> candida's best friend! I am not sure if this is a definitive answer, but don't be surprised if your GYN blows it off. Most of them will not accept this as an answer but I am going to look into it more... Unfortunately, curing systemic candida usually requires major diet changes and a strict herbal regimen. I will post again with more info when I can. Good lcuk to you all... keep the info coming!
dumbblonde22--did you ASK your doctor specifically to test you for herpes? if you don't SPECIFICALLY request that test, they will likely tell you you dont have it. And your description sounds like classic herpes hon. Make sure you get the right blood test and have them swab the 'tear'... and take care of yourself girl! you dont need to be participating in anything that causes you excessive pain..
