Vaginal Pain and pimples

I am 18 years old, and iv been dating my boyfriend for 2 years. We both have only had sex with each other and i know this for sure. The past few months, i have been having vaginal pain during intercourse, that has put me to tears a few times. Also, every couple weeks i get very irritating vaginal itchiness, pain, and cuts from dry skin. I'v gone to my doctor about it and she has given me different kinds of creams, but none of them work. I have also tried Vaseline, but nothing fixes the problem. Recently i noticed a pimple right above my vagina, which i squeezed, and put rubbing alcohol on to fight any infection. It still hurts, so I read about it online, and now i'm scared i could have herpes or vaginitis. I really don't know what to do anymore.
