Vaginal bleeding for too long?

I have been bleeding for almost 2 months now. At first, I would have my period that I thought was normal, then a week or 2 later I had another one. Then when that period was over it was about 3 days and I have been bleeding ever since! I will have a random day where there is no bleeding or it is very light bleeding. Some days I will soak through a pad or tampon in less than an hour. I did have an abortion, and I was wondering if this is normal. I went to the ER and everything was normal, but they were limited on what they could do.
