Vaginal discharge with odor.
I'm eighteen years old and I've been having a vaginal discharge that is almost like a cloudy white color. On my panty liner or underwear it dries to a yellow color. I've looked up issues about this and everyone has said they smell a foul odor. I don't know if I would really call mine a foul odor, just not a pleasent one. Sometimes it's almost like a sour smell and sometimes it's not. I've had intercourse before, but this discharge has been happening even when I was eleven. I wash the external part with soap and water in the shower, I use wipes and cleansing products and douching. I still get a discharge but I really don't notice such a bad odor after it. I do notice that after douching, at the end of the insertion part there is a yellow goo on it. I don't know if all this is normal or not so I'm just checking to see if any other woman has this issue?

reminds me of myself. I tried getting pregnant before for about a year and didnt happen. Then 2 years ago i met my current boyfriend and we have 2 beautiful boys. I feel like my ex's probably couldn't have babies or shooting blanks, maybe because they were small lol. But anyway I discharge a lot and its like sometimes i feel it come down and sometimes not and when i see my panties its like liquid no ***, then it kinda has an unpleasant order. I was treated for 2 STDs before and when i went couple weeks ago they told me i was negative to everything so why am i still discharging?

Hi im 18, i have been having discharge that has an odor. i dont know if everyone else im around can smell it but it makes me self-conscience as if they can. i have had intercourse about a week ago. and im not sure if it is because the condom broke or what? and this is the first time that the discharge has the odor. Any ideas as to what is wrong?
Im happy to know that im not the only woman who deals with this yucky stuff..i have a white discharge that dries yellow..it doesnt itch and smells like bread..im 44 yrs old and ive never dealt with this before.. Unfortunately i dont have insurance so ive been looking for home remedies..ivestopped douching and keep it very clean down there..im going to the health department to make sure it isnt a std and if not i will just deal with it...after all our bodies do go through changes...

sometimes i am shy if i wont wear pantyliner bec pantyliner prevent to spread-out the smells
i do taking a medicine to put into vigina b4 go in bed i been suffre it a years now but still i am tired and i scared my knows about this cause we two of use go into OB for having this badly problem
i take METRONIDAZOLE
if i get into sexual in my partners the bad odor back and when i get medicine again a weeks will be past get sex it will be back again
do this problem will be gone or all of my life i be suffer this i am scared and i need advice pls help me :(

jess i think this could be a sexual transmitted infection you might get,im not sure if it might be gonorrhea... if it persist please visit a doctor for examination.
got on the IUD birthcontrol and have had the samr partner for almost 4 yrs and have a kid... and ever since i got on the IUD i have been having "bacteria infections" down there or so they say everytime they will give me antibiotics or med. u insert into vagina and it seems to keep coming back.. so idk if its from having IUD cause I have never had bacteria or yeast infections before.... any advice.... as of right now I have a white thick discharge hasa order but not fishy or anything like that...
it sounds like you have chlamydia or gonorrhea..you should really get that checked out because it can damage your fallopian tubes...
Next time you have sex, check to see if you see a discharged coming from his penis, if you do, stop and tell him you guys need to go get tested.

okay i have been having this problem for year's now i had an infection when i was about 10 i got creams and all that and it helped after a will i stoped doing the creams though. and know i have these problems i don't tend to eat much yogert ill try that thank you
so we all have the same problem!! what do we do?? what is out there? vagisil actually cut back on the smell! sooo? what else will help?

I can't go a day without wearing a pad because it will leak through my underwear. I started my period when I was 14 so it has been going on for a year or two longer. There is a smell but it is not usually a bother. There is also no pain what-so-ever. I am a virgin. I have no idea what it could be and no website I've gone to seems to help. At my last doctor checkup my doctor didn't take me seriously and said to eat more yogurt but it did not help. Also, the dischargeseems to stop when I am on my period but comes right back when it finishes. Any advice or input would be great.

You seem to have BV (bacterial vaginosis). Its very common for a lot of women, no matter what age. I've really been struggling with it. Medications dont help what so ever! Try Boric Acid, it's an over the counter drug, meaning it can be prescribed to you by your doctor. It balances the pH level in your vagina. A cure is possible!

I felt sad when I read your post as it reminded me of myself in my early teens (I am now 43). My mother never told me anything about bodily changes and I fretted for years over my discharge that made me feel like a freak (aswell as early stretch marks which I thought we some kind of parasite infection under my skin!!). From what you describe- whitish, light smell, turns pale yellw on drying, it sounds like an absolutely normal discharge healthily lubricating the vagina. Over the years I've seen various changes in my vaginal area (!), different sexual partners can have an effect on the smell of the discharge, different diets too. Cleanliness is important but please don't use soap on you front area as you may cause a thrush or cystitis problem. Occasionally after sex I squirt plain water inside (using a syringe- obviously without the needle!!) and that keeps things fresh. But remember a discharge is essential, it cleanses in itself. Of course if you are really worried then check with a doctor, a really foul smell could indicate an easily treatable infection. I summoned up the courage to finally see a doctor at about age 16/17 and of course he happily informed me that all was normal. I'm so glad now my own daughter won't go through this when her time comes.

i am 18 ive been having alot of white discharge with a foul smell , i went to my gynecologist i was tested for everything like STDS everthing and he ask me do you eat alot of fruit and i said yes, well he told me from that the acids in the fruit can cause the white discharge, but i think i might have a yeast infection, does anyone know what should i do or use like the Monistat product
anyone who has a foul smell (may even be fishy), there is hope. The discharge is typically whiteish grey or maybe even green or yellow. This smelly discharge is cause by BV (bacterial vaginosis) the doc can give you pills but they don't usually seem to work much. the only thing i have tried that worked was a douche. not a regular douche though. It's hydrogen peroxide and water. The infection is caused by an unbalanced pH level in the vagina, and the peroxide will fix that. After you use the douche, you will be VERY dry, so don't attempt to have sex for at about 24 hours. BV can be caused by intercourse, douches (not the peroxide though), or even just allowing soap into the vagina. The body cleans it's self, you should never try to clean the inside of it. Mild soaps should be used to clean the outside.
