Vaginal discomfort after sex.

i've only had sex a few times now, and have noticed burning/itching after every time. During sex, there are no problems, but a day after I notice pain and discomfort. There's usually no foul smell but the itching is intense. I do not get a burning sensation when i urinate, however. I have used medication for yeast infections and this does remove all symptoms. The first time this happened, itching went away after a week or so and did not return until I had sex again. The second time I was on antibiotics for strep throat and thought it was a yeast infection due to the medication and treated it as a yeast infection. The third time, i also treated it with yeast infection medication. This is now the fourth time noticing the same symptoms, they started to develop the day after intercourse (without protection) and have not gone away (it has been a week). I don't notice the itching all the time, and it gets better at times to where I think my vagina is all better. I have not had chunky white discharge that is common in a yeast infection but rather a normal discharge for me. It does not matter whether i use a condom or not, I get these symptoms EVERY time after sex. I really need help!! I am on birth control but it has not affected anything.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to vaginal yeast infection. For candidiasis or yeast infection, Take some precautionary measures like avoid wearing tight fitting clothing like jeans and pantyhose and underwear made from synthetic fibresRemove wet or damp bathing suits immediately after swimming, avoid douching, perfumed soaps, bubble baths and toiletries, change underwear daily, wash underwear in hot water (to destroy fungi) and double rinse (to remove any irritating detergent) and take adequate nutrition and sleep. Also use some antifungal pessaries like clotrimazole (Femizole-7), miconazole (Monistat-Derm, Monistat Vaginal) or nystatin which are available over the counter. If still the symptoms persist then oral antifungals may be needed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
