Vaginal infection over 1> years HELP

I am a 24 year old woman, and am facing problems with some kind of vaginal infection. This has been going on for over 1 year and 3 months I am literally on the edge.
I have seen numerous doctors who have each prescribed me with numerous antibiotics such as flagyl etc.. including meds for me and my partner to take. At first the doctors did tests and actually found a yeast infection however as time past I was dealing with the same complaints and no sign of any type of infection on the test results.

on average I would have white see through discharge mixed in with some kind of bloody discharge or just brown discharge, it varies.
Most times while having intercourse I have difficulties getting moist, and feels like something is scrubbing me from the inside ( extremely painful) and a burning sensation afterwards at times my vagina even swells up about twice its size!

I have heard that after long periods of infection people can get a type of vaginism so i'm trying out a sexologist and this has helped me as well but the pain often remains.

However my gyno said that its only due to irritation but I am more worried.
I feel I should mention , I had an abortion about 2 years ago (no judgment please) and am very scared that maybe something else had gone wrong during this process because I was wide awake and I actually was in extreme pain during the whole ordeal.
I also had a very severe infection which was due to the abortion i took some antibiotics for that but afterwards everything was back to normal.
I also often have pains in my lower abdomen.

please somebody help!
I am in desperate need
I feel like doctors don't care and have given up

Hi,

I've actually done all kinds of test of the last year i've done swipes that where taken to the lab! they've taken urine samples and done blood test nothing shows up.

However, Tuesday I woke up with severe pains in the right side of my stomach the doc though it was appendicitis but in the emergency room they found out it was just a bad bladder infection. and that my white blood cell count was high that's it, then they gave me one dosage of monocotyledon and sent me off.
during the whole process they looked at my whole stomach and ovary's nd found nothing.

could this have been the problem all along?

if i do apply the topical estrogen cream, will it affect me even if I end up not having atrophic vaginitis ??

thanks so much for your help!

If you are being seen repeatedly and they are properly testing your vaginal discharge and finding nothing, there are some other things this can be. One issue is atrophic vaginitis.   If you are young, they often don't even think about this because it's most common in post menopausal women but it can happen in younger gals, especially if you are on the bc pill.  Have your providers tried anything as simple as topical estrogen cream a few times a week for a few months? It doesn't work quickly but if atrophic vaginitis is the issue, it'll make a difference in a few months.

when they test your discharge, do they do it there in the office by looking at it under the microscope, just do some tests in the office without a microscope or do they send it off to the  lab? You can ask if they notice an increase in the "good" bacteria in the vagina too. The "good" lactobacillus  bacteria that protects us from infections in the genital area can overgrow and cause issues too.

no real reason to think this is directly related to the abortion you had previously.

do they ever mention your cervix looking irritated when you are seen?
